Since my time with the Vienna Boys Choir, I have been deeply connected to the sacred choral music of Mozart and Palestrina. Sacred music has always been at the core of my creativity, culminating in the ICMA Composers Award 2025, primarily for my four operas.I am excited to bridge contemporary vocal writing with the Renaissance tradition of Palestrina. My new madrigal on Ungaretti’s Nessuno, Mamma meets Super flumina Babylonis, creating a dialogue across time.
Anchored by Mozart’s Requiem, this journey spans 400 years of choral history. For this ambitious project, I am honored to collaborate with Coro Siamo under Agnes Schnabl, one of Austria’s most acclaimed young choir directors and winner of the London Choir Competition 2024 (1st prize).
