Upon arrival at Frankfurt Airport, you will be met by your English speaking tour guides, touring coaches & drivers.
Transfer to your accommodation in Frankfurt (Approx driving time 5 hours) – lunch on own arrangements en route

Morning guided city tour with focus on music in Munich
One of our experienced local guides will take you on a tour to see the highlights of Munich such the Frauenkirche (Munich Cathedral), the Opera House, and the City Hall with its Glockenspiel on Marienplatz & will tell you stories & facts related to important names in musical history. See the Olympic Stadium and the 1,000-foot-high Television Tower.
Guided tour through the BMW-Museum (time permitting!) Now this is something: cars by BMW on display. All ages, all kind. In spring 2006 the new "BMW World" will open its doors. Of course, the homepage is as high tech as their cars are: BMW World. The old museum that is going to be replaced is closed. Partly, the exhibitis are on display in the"Weltkugel" at the parking at Olympiaturm/Olympic Tower.
Lunch on own arrangements
After lunch transfer to the world-famous “Passion Play” village Oberammergau, renowned for its traditional Bavarian art and culture.

Many of the participants of the Summa Cum Laude Festival will be staying at one of the Global Villages– creating a wonderful international atmosphere and many opportunities for cultural exchange activities! Right across from the SCS, Austria’s largest shopping center, Austria Trend Eventhotel Pyramide features a 53,800 ft² spa and recreation area. Today the prestigious competition will be held in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein and you will be judged by a selection of top music professionals, all well-respected and well-known internationally e.g. Mr. Christoph Ehrenfellner, Mr. Georg Mark or Mr. Ronald Smart. Within a time period of 15 to 20 minutes the participants are required to present the following pieces:
- compulsory pieces please find all details on www.sclfestival.org
- one piece by a composer of the ensemble’s home country
- additional piece(s) required in order to reach the minimum playing time, to be freely chosen.

Visit the “Haus der Musik”
The “Haus der Musik” (House of Music) presents a very special way to enjoy music – a unique high-tech voyage of discovery into the phenomenon of music – where sounds become visible, organ pipes may be walked on and visitors can become virtual conductors and composers.

Workshops and seminars conducted at the University of Music in Vienna
Enjoy three interesting and interactive orchestra workshops conducted by members of the festival’s orchestra jury and other renowned SCL Academy staff, e.g. Mr. Christoph Ehrenfellner, Mr. Ronald Smart, Mr. Georg Mark at Vienna’s University of Music. You have the chance to practically study new pieces as well as get musical and technical advice from our renowned workshop leaders.
